Merry Christmas!

From the beginning God had a purpose for mankind, the prophecies that set the stage for His Son to come to earth to bear the punishment and be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. A Redeemer that would vanquish death and the devil's power over the grave. 
Genesis 3:15
"And I will out enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel." 
Isaiah 7:14, 9:6
"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel."
"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." 
The fulfillment of even just this prophecy has given us hope and joy for the future. A future we now can cling to in hope, knowing He has come, will come again and later restore the world and rule. 
The fulfillment: Luke 2:7 
"And she (Mary) brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." 
All I can say in response to the fulfillment and God's everlasting love He has for His people is all glory to God in the highest and my prayer is that everyone will see that He truly is the reason we can celebrate life and live with hope of His eternal plans. Merry Christmas everyone!
