You're Perfect(ly Imperfect)

Okay, listen.

If you're fat, that's okay. If you're skinny, that's okay. You don't have to change a thing about yourself. You're beautiful.

But if you are not happy with your body because you don't feel like you are embracing your full potential, then I fully support the use of healthy techniques in order to improve yourself. (In my opinion, the two best ways to feel better physically are exercise and diet. Mind, not dieting, but diet. Eating right really does help you feel better--it's a scientific fact!)

A healthy awareness of one's self is a good thing. But as soon as your self-worth, happiness, and basically any other word dealing with self-care--as soon as it becomes dependent on something other than God, that's when it becomes unhealthy. It doesn't matter what others think. The opinions of others--as well as what social media, magazines, and heck, even yourself are telling you--none of that matters. None of it.

The only opinion that matters is God's. If your relationship with Him is still solid, then it doesn't matter what the number on the scale is. You're perfect(ly imperfect).
Proverbs 31:30 - "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." (emphasis added)
You're worth more than rubies, darling. x

Oh, and that's another thing! About changing your body for a boy--ladies, please, don't do it! The right man will love you as you are!! Stretch marks and all. He'll think you're perfect. You'll be his queen, his life, his all.
  1. The right guy will never genuinely ask, hint, or imply that you should change anything about you at all!! (Disclaimer: most guys don't understand the struggle we girls have with body image. If he's teasing you and you don't like it, tell him.)
  2. If a little voice in your head is telling you that you need to change in order to get his attention, tell that voice to SHUT UP AND GET OUT! That's Satan feeding you fresh lies that are still warm from the fires of hell.
Sister, please hear me: you don't need to change for anyone!! The only exception is God; if you're feeling conviction, absolutely turn from sin and change your ways!

With love, H xoxo ♥
